Thank A Vet conducts a personal One on One assessment interview to access the unique needs of each Veteran. We work with other organizations and agencies that provide aid to veterans in need in order to reach the most beneficial arrangement for each veteran. Our main objective is to offer a hand up, not a hand out. This benefits not only our veterans, but our community as well.

Operation Thank A Vet 2017
November 2016
Date: Saturday, May 20, 2017
Where: The beautiful, Journey Golf Course at Pechanga!
As most of you already know, the Thank A Vet Fund staff is an all-volunteer staff! This is just one of the many ways we work hard so that, as much as 99% of your donations to TAV go directly to our nation’s veterans! In addition to providing immediate assistance with necessities such as food, shelter and longer-term housing, TAV’s mission to uplift and empower our Veteran population includes training programs to assist them in transitioning into the public and private sector workforce. TAV also assists vets to navigate the (often) complex health and benefit services these men and women earned, for their time in service, to this nation.
They gave of themselves so that we could live our lives, in safety. Now it’s time for us, to give something back, to these veterans! There’s no better way to give back, than by supporting Operation Thank A Vet Golf Tournament, Saturday, May 20, 2017!

Sewing Machines Donated for Veterans
July 2016
Thank a Vet was approached by the VA Hosptital in Long Beach to support an innovative therapuetic program. The VA organized with Sew Happy Hour, a non-profit organization for Veterans with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), and other stress and anxiety disorders.
According to the request we received, "this program consists of six sessions, to be held at VA Long Beach, where volunteers will teach beginning sewing techniques and gradually work toward more advanced projects. It is our hope that through this program, Veterans can find an additional way to cope with a variety of disorders while learning an engaging skill that can provide relaxation, increased self-esteem and a sense of accomplishment."
